1980 D200 PU---Instrument panel

Hi Folks,
i have a newly bought 1980 Custom 200 Dodge PU. it is a 3/4 ton

Not only is the speedometer needle broken and only maybe an inch long, it also points to 10mph at stopped and idle......I drove it last night and found the panel lights also do not work.
I am wondering what other models Instrument panel would interchange with mine? any help is appreciated and thank you very much---Bob

The dash lights don't britten up by turning the headlamp knob?

No they don't....actually the fuel, temp, ohm and oil pressure do lightnup, but not the speedometer.....and I really dislike speeding tickets......the main reason would be to get an accurate speedometer reading so as not to speed.and get a ticket.....The coppers have always just loved me

That's probably just a bulb. You can handle it.

Download an gps speed app to your smart phone and check the accuracy of your speedometer and how far of it is.
I think it is 72 to 80 pickup and ramchargers that have the same speedometer. If you find one with the needle make sure you don't touch it! The ****ing thing will break! The one thing I know.........

I wish it was just a bulb...One was burnt, but I replaced with another and still doesn't work. There are actually 4 just for the speedometer itself, which makes me think it must be the circuit possibly.
.As far as the needle, someone else at some time must have found out what you also know. That is good info
to know. I would be super bummed if I went off Island ($45--car and driver) to a junk yard, found one, got home and touched the needle to have it fall apart. Speaking of smart phones,
well I guess maybe I could borrow one and the person that owns it and they could test the mph's for me since I haven't quite stepped into the 21'st century as of yet...aka I don't have one.---thanks for all---Bob

According to the book 82-80 trucks and Ramcharger interchange. The dash and trim piece Chan’s from a straight to a curved look in 1975.

injust installed an instrument panel from a 84 into my 79. My issue was opposite yours. my speedo worked but nothing else did. Then the amp meter fried. So have the original as a parts piece.

Is the cable between dash and trans connected?
