1983 Dodge D150 Electrical issues

First post on this forum,

I have an 83' dodge d150 with a 318 and factory ac and cruise control, I have been chasing electrical issues, mainly with the lighting. It all started when the aging wiring for the alternator broke on the way home one night, I managed to make it home and found the issues the next day, there is a set of three wires that splice in to one connection that looks to be factory but it looks like most of it has either melted or been spliced together so many times that it fell apart. I replaced all the wiring and added a few more grounding straps but have since lost my lighting on the truck, the only thing that works is the headlights when I pull the switch to the headlight position, I don't have any parking lights or instrument lights. I noticed that if you pull the headlight switch out just enough be for the parking light detent the parking lights and instrument lights come on and work but as soon as you pull it enough to lock into place in the detent for the parking lights nothing comes on. I have replaced the headlight switch and the pigtail for the switch and that has made no difference. Any help is appreciated as I can't drive at night for the time being.

Check the issue at the fuel block. A lot of them loose power at the point.
