1988 D 100 frame

My frame is cracked pretty bad. Had it welded up but it cracked again. I would like to replace the whole frame. What years would be a direct frame swap?

1981-1993 for sure. I know that a lot of the body panels from 1972-1980 will also fit but I'm not sure about the frame specs.

I have seen a few Dodge half-ton frames in the local junkyards, most of them with the cabs or bodies still attached. I have gotten lots of hard to find parts from the local www.pullapart.com junkyard. In Columbia, SC there is a 1985 and 1987 chassis, both in 2 and 4-wheel drive, short bed and long bed. Some of them have some impact damage but not all. it depends on what you are looking for. 3 questions:
1. Where are you in the US?
2. Is it a short-bed or long-bed?
3. Is it 2 or 4 wheel drive?

San Antonio Texas. I finished my Army career at Fort Jackson. I was there from 2005 to 2008. It is a 2wd and a long bed. I am a dedicated 1988 d100 fan. I own two at the moment.

Our '88 1/2 ton crossmember had less material behind the drivers engine mount. The '92 3/4 ton had much more which we had to cut away and box to fit the same header in. Small Block.
