2022 Thread for lowering 80s d150

First time posting on this forum, a little background about my project started out with my father who around 25-30 years ago had a shop "slam" his 82 dodge short bed using custom control arms and other modifications that are unbeknownst to both him and I. Truck was 3 inches off the ground for reference and would knock reflectors off the road of the interstate while changing lanes under braking. I am purchasing a short bed of a similar year this week and would like to do the same. Haven't seen any thread on here or anywhere for that matter that goes into detail of what to do and what not to do in order to get the truck that low without completely sacrificing pinion angle etc.. Money is tight and I plan on doing everything I can on my own without spending a fortune and only farm out work that I don't feel comfortable doing. Thank you for taking the time to read

There is a thread for lowering a truck, I will see if I can find it. I am planning on lowering my ‘78 this year but I am only going 2” on the front and 4” on the rear. I bought lowering spindles and hangers to do mine but there are lots of other options.

Here is the thread about one way to lower the front which is the real obstacle, the rear is pretty basic.

Just found out that there are lowering A arms now. I found them while slobbering over the summit website. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/rkd-rk100-27
