82 d150/360 front engine brackets accessories
 

have a 82 d150 4x4, a/c truck,emissions got it all in the accessories department. the truck is an original 318 has a 360 swap and thats were i bought the truck at not running yet. i cant figure out were all my brackets go for the accessories. been lookin at pictures of trucks engines online got a rough idea tried a couple times things just dont seem to be bolting in with proper alignment. any pics or explanations. do the brackets from the 318 bolt up to the 360 in the same fashion?

They will bolt up the same as the blocks and heads are the same, just different internal sizes.

Since the 318 is internally balanced and the 360 is externally balanced, you should double check to make sure that the torque convertor is balanced as you can not use the one from the 318.... assuming that you have an automatic.

yes was familar with the commons between the motors. would there be a book or manuel u can recommend that shows me the proper assembly? problem with ac compressor is the rear bracket is hitting the thermastate housing and wont properly alline, is there a diffrent manifold that was used? picked some brackets at the local pick yard off a van with a 360 and the manifold had a thermastate housing that was cocked side ways so the ac would clear it and bolt properly.

I believe that there are two different manifolds. If you go onto Summit Racing and look for manifolds for the LA small blocks, in the notes you will see that some fit motors with A/C and some will not fit if you have A/C.I think that you may have an intake that is not designed for A/C.

As far as books go, I'm not entirely sure. Hopefully someone will post a pic of theirs for you. I will see what I can find though.

got all problems figured out this weekend. went to the bone yard got the other manifold i need for the ac for 20 bucks. so painted it up threw it in have all the accessories bolted on and almost ready for the start up. just gotta get the carb rebuilt cause the new manifold is a 4bbl. question tho i have a 208 transfer case is that correct for an 82 or is that a later model option? i think the motor is an 88 so maybe they put the hole power train in out of a newer truck.

208 would be the right t-case for that year. That t-case was used for a number of years (early 80s to early 90s).
