93 D150 727 swap

I have a 93 D150 318 2wd with a 42rh I believe. Wanting to know what I’d need to swap it out for a 727 torqueflite? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming the cable setup is going to work for the kick down on the 727 you should be fine. Not sure what grounding hook up that trans you have has but that might need to be addressed. Should be easy enough. Then the linkage. I would assume stock application can be made to work, there's really not a lot that changed in that time, but you could always go with an aftermarket shifter too. The flex plate will be the same. I'd get a new torque converter with the trans of course. Earlier poster mentioned driveshaft. Measure carefully. You looking for 4x4? The transfer case and front pumpkin alignment would have me most concerned of anything in that swap. Your existing cross member might need a new hole but will work too. Should already have the mechanical speedo cable.

Not looking for 4x4 just the transmission in it now is on it’s way out and we have a 727 in the garage. Can’t remember what we pulled it from. I appreciate the comments and the great questions asked.
