Harmonic dampener question

Can some one please tell me how much space is required between the harmonic dampener and timing cover? The dampener in the picture is a summit racing dampener.

I don't understand your question? "whats the pointer and dampener photo look like"

Thank you for getting back to me.

It is NOT all the way on.. I had one of those SFI race dampeners on a 360 WAS a B to install & remove... Very tight fit !!!

I was going to reference how far the timing tab on the cover was covering the dampener to determine how far on the dampener was.
My first thought was,,,, No,,,, its not on all the way....

Hope thats a little more understandable...

The distance from the timing marker on the timing cover and the harmonic dampener is exactly 1/8in. The distance of the harmonic dampener weight to the timing cover is less than 1/16in now.

Agreed....I would say the 1/16 is too close...
IS the oil slinger behind the timing on this build?
I have a stock 360 at the house if you would like me to take a couple photos? But I don't have anything with a Hi-Perf Dampner on it at the moment..

Oil slinger?? Not sure what that is.
When i put on the pulleys to the water pump and dampener they line up perfect now. The dampener being at 1/8in spaced from the timing marks on the timing cover.

If the pulleys line up ? Just run the "D" thing & make sure nothing is rubbing. and not throwing belts
