just bought this guy last night. Looks pretty but pretty rough. Nicknamed the “Bumble Beast” My first Mopar although my buddies in HS school had w150 and w100; lifted, big blocks, super swamper, all the toys for boys.

looking forward to cleaning and tightening this guy up. Lots of leaks and poor shade tree mechanic work. Missing transfer case and front drive shafts. Gas tank unexplainably replaced with fuel cell. Sloppy steering and low gear ratios (screaming at 60 MPH going downhill). Headlights only work in bright and attached with zip ties and bungee cords.

Hopefully a good shop manual and local pick-a-part can help get him back in shape..

Welcome to the forum, it sounds like you have your work cut out for you. At one time I had most of the parts you need, but I sold the truck and all the spares in 2010.

The front u joint was hard to keep in with a 3" lift it might last 3 or 4k. Guys would put a 5+" lift in and never get a front shaft back in. I heard once that the early shaft with the CV joint was the way to go, I had one and never tried it .

Look into the LMC Dodge headlight kit. It worked for me. My plastic gas tank cracked and I went to a fuel cell as well. Good luck on your project. I also recommend a DUI or Proform distributor, get rid of all the junk under the hood and it works really well. Coil in the cap, one wire, consistent spark.
