odom. does not work
92 w150 odometor does not work speedo does. replaced the cluster still no change. help
|
That is weird. Usually the odometer works off of the speedometer. Is your speedo cable tight (the speedometer doesn't bounce around while driving)?
I'd take apart the original one and see what's up with it. |
right thats what i thought. And the back of the cluster is all electronic there is no cable.
|
I would then start to look at a wiring diagram for that circuit and go from there.

Sorry to chime in on an old post. I recently found this forum, and a 1990 D150 in excellent shape. Mine has the same problem. I reset the trip meter to zero after i did the first oil change and now it no longer works.
Have you found the problem to properly fix the issue? Thanks |
????? It is strickly a mechanical speedo, There is a small gear that connects the speedo & odo together that releases when the reset is pushed

I guess I'll try to find a replacement unit. Thanks again. |
Gary... Give it a few extra snaps and see if that work.... If not check with the local speedo guy and see if he might have a gear for the unit..

That gear was available at one time / Not sure now !!!
