Tank Sending unit.. Help!

Hello everyone, just want to say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to help me. I have run into a bit of a problem I'm sure you guys have run into. My fuel gauge only reads 1/2 tank when full. So I dropped the tank and low and behold, my sending unit was almost 100% clogged and the wire to the float in the tank was cut by someone at some point. I can fix the wire no big, however if it doesn't work, I would like to replace it. An that's the problem here in Colorado, I CAN NOT find a single person who can find/locate/ point me to/ or even send smoke signals to me to find one. It's a plastic tank. I don't know the size, I have a single cab short bed. It's a 318 with a circle track carburetor on it. (long story). Any questions just ask. Thank you guys again for all your help!

Yes it is. It's a plastic tank, if it's a 18 gallon I don't know exactly. Sorry if I take a while to respond I work on a Oil Rig so it may take me a while.
