You should be able to get ahold of it with a pair of needle nose pliers and remove the clip..
This guy no longer has the Clip. But you can see where the clip is out lined on the inner firewall. Just pry it off with a large screw driver or use a pair of needle nose plyers to pull the clip. Some of these you have to use your man muscles...

Dont know how to approach this. The cable will turn but will not give me access to the clip.
this is a 1968 plymouth satellite.
What can you suggest?

Need your help..I am trying to remove the throttle cable from the firewall. I cannot get it to come out.
cannot see if there is a clip on the inside of the floor that is holding the cable in.
Cannot get at anything to remove it. What do you suggest. I am lost with this
