1968 Plymouth Fury III
Hey guys! I just recently bought a Plymouth Fury III (first car) . And i want make a streetable 400-600hp engine. It's a LA 318 v8 a 727 torqueflite tranny 3 speed auto. i also recieved some shaved 360 heads when i bought the car. I will supercharge it but that will be down the road. Thanks. And it's for a good cause to many Honda hatchbacks these days that need to be taught a lesson hahaha

I would shoot more for 350-400 and keep that bullet proof 318 reliability in that big beast. I also have a ’68 Fury and am building my 318 a little warmer than factory. When all is said and done, I’m expecting at least 330hp, which is PLENTY for this guy.
A really good build for it is:
· Head work! Most important part. get those valves opened up and do an intake port match deal.
· Comp cams 256h for a mild job or the 268 is nice but a stall converter is recommended, which brings the price up.
· Eddy performer manifold and a 600 or 650cfm carb of your choice.
· Headers and an electronic ign
· Ditch the fan for a good electric job.
Anyhow, just suggestions. I’m a huuuge fan of the 318 and really have respect for folks who build 'em instead of doing what everyone else does and popping in a 360.

Haha i messed up the thread location. Good info skwerly but i'm pretty set on 480hp+ if i decide to make it a cruiser ill go with thatn. Thanks. Alright well 500ish sounds pretty sweet. I'm still a noob at this haha so what should i do first? This will be a 7-8 month long project so i'm in no rush. I've also been reading on car craft the 318 build that they did and the boosted 318 build that was published on mopar muscle magazine. What do you guys think? What about the 360 heads? Thanks!
