You might consider Acrylic enamel for a single stage paint. It was the standard for years, and it's much cheaper than urethanes. Last year when I was doing the '71, I was buying gallons of Tor-red/Hemi Orange for $81 each. You've got your color, shine, and protection (and ya can clear coat over it, it just makes it look deeper than it would a base coat)

Hey Muswagon, just viewed your whole thread, looking good.Regarding your coment on "Mopar Purists" and being slaughtered, they'll be chopping my head off first before they got to yours. My 1970 is far from stock, built the way I want it. I love pure stock and modified "Hot Rods". If it's your car and you think it's cool then I think it's cool too.
