Question 69 Coronet door lock part needed

I'm looking for the rod that connects the door lock to the rest of the door mechanism. Everyone carries the clips for either end of it, but no one has the rod. Any help out there?

not sure about the part you're looking for, but what about some threaded rod from a hardware store?

It might be overkill but I know you can get 1/4" 20 all thread at a good hardware store.

Pass side is the same just reversed. I think it is something like 3/16" smaller than 1/4 and not threaded. Get a piece of piano wire from the Hobby shop and bend it to fit

Thanks for the ideas, you guys are great. I called Steven's Performance (256-247-1332) and they were able to find one for me and it is being shipped.

Grab one of those vote for me signs and use the metal rod from the sign. Some of them are made of 1/8" or better. If that doesn't work look in the hardware section at Lowes, Home depot or find your oldest hardware store in the city and they probably have what you need. Try a metal fab shop as a last resort. The rod you need shouldn't be hard to find. Is it for a 2 or 4 door and which door? Best of luck! KEVIN
