69 coronet rt Need HELP!!!

Hey there new to the forum i have a 2002 corvette z06 but that would be sold before my baby which is my 69 coronet r/t and yes i just turned 20 years old but my dad always told me it takes a mopar to catch a mopar {back when chargers were chargers anyway no offense} but ive got all the body work done and am wantig to build it for street/strip racing, the only reason im not going back to original is because the person that had it before me put a 318 in it and also changed the color to white and it was originally that washing machine green color [dont know the exact name] but i need to know whether i should go with a 383 bored and stroked, balanced and blue printed port and polish double pumpers headers cams the whole nine yards basically or should i go with the 440 and do all the above??? please help me out on this one because where i live the kids dont know a hemi cuda from a volkswagen also what kinda power/ quarter mile times should i be looking at, im shootign for it to keep up with my vette , it runs 12.1xx with a few bolt ons what the best way to go with the mopar PLEASE PLEASE HELP

THANKS -Hunter-

right...if youre going between two big blocks, go bigger...a well built 440 should get you into the 11s, but that also depends on what you do with the suspension, trans, diff, etc...also, you seem to be rattling off modifications...what exactly do you have planned for this car?
