Lower end of a 360
So i'm just trying to do my research for when i do get around to building up my motor. Found a good tranny combo through TCI again. Same company we used in the corvette. so couple of questions for people
- How do I tell if the motor is externally balanced so I know which torque converter to get?
- How much horsepower is the stock internals good for?

i have a stock 360 motor. looking to put some better heads, intake manifold, mild cam, and carb on it. will bolt a new TCI 727 tranny up and saturday night special torque converter. im not looking for the most power in the world a tame 300-400 would do. be alot better then the stock 155 lol

thanks what do people think about a 670 cfm carb on the 360, think i wont overcarburate the vechile? it will be this carb, some kind of intake manifold (unsure as to which one at this point), flowtech headers, 2.5 inch exhaust most likely, and eventually some new heads and cam (thinking maybe a year or two out from this.
this particular carb will be done at the same time as a new intake manifold
