Found a set of 15x8 Magnum 500's
Greetings crew members.
So this fella who is restoring his 1968 Barracuda has an extra set of Magnum 500 rims for sale. Says they're in good shape- may need new black paint between the 'spokes'. Said he'd sell them to me for $200.00.
Question is: will these 15x8 factory 'mags' (and tires) fit into the rear wheel wells of my 1969 Chrysler Newport Custom? Seems to me they would... looks like about 3" between my white walls and the lip of the inner fender. I need to crawl under to see how close the leaf spring is to the back of the sidewall.
Interested in your thoughts. The price is right.

You know, I'm sorry to beat-a-dead-horse with yet another thread about rim fitment. I did cruise through lots of previous threads before opening this can of worms.
For what it's worth, I have a 1969 Newport Custom, 1st year for the "fuselage' C-body 'fleet'.
So first question: when did Mopar discontinue the left-hand threaded lug nuts? I remember my A-body 1966 Barracuda had the left-hand threaded lugs. Left being the drivers side? I haven't pulled a wheel on my '69 yet, but I'm thinkin' ALL the lugs will be the standard lefty loosey type.
I've been looking-into the Mopar 15x8 Magnum 500s. I kinda' like them without the center caps. I'm assuming that Mopar will fit Mopar regarding wheel 'offset'? Exactly what is offset?
Second question: being true-to-form, what tire 'should' be on these 500s if I'm trying to be period-correct? I see a lot of Bridgestones on Mopars.
Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
