71 front end on a 72 challenger
I bought a 72 challenger that I am bringing back to life. It came with a 71 front end on it unlike everybody else I don't like the 71 front end I like the 72. now for the question what is the difference between the 71 and 72 fenders. I bought a 74 challenger runner driver for a parts car but the fenders are junk I also bought a complete 72 front end the fenders will be usable with a little it of work but they are not perfect. The 71 front end that came on the car has perfect fenders so is it possible make the 71 fenders work or are they a totally different critter

You'd probably be better off selling the '71 fenders and buying a set of 72. Since the 72 fit three years, and the 71 only 71 and maybe 70 (not sure here...) you have a set that's a little more scarce than the one's that fit 3 years. The 72-4 ones should be cheaper and easier to find

sell the 71 fenders and buy 72/74 as the side marker lights are different as for fit they will fit but wont look right and there are alot of people looking for original 71 fenders in good condition and if your looking for original 72 fenders ebay is a good place to start but some 72's did come with fiberglass fenders and front clip
