Dr. Volare and it's electric mayhem..
78 kit car..sparks...not good. So, I have no owners manual and cannot ident this fuse. Sitting in car, fuse box is two rows, fuses verticle. Bottom left fuse, one more to the right, what is that fuse for?? it blows out instantly, wire jumped it..sparks. Second question, I pulled a relay, cover came off, sparks..fun. This relay is to the right of a great big square one, the one in question is best described as cylindrical shape of a little beer can.
as always, any help is appreciated!!! BTW, I did disconnect the batt after the second little sparky..

if it is number 8 that is 5 amp fuse for Cluster and Panel lights...gear selector light and console lights....right out of my owners manual..my 5 and 6 has no wiring or fuse because I don't have power windows or power locks

OK, now I'm blowing #10, a 20Amp instantly, fast as I turn ignition on. Can someone tell what fuse #10 covers. I can tell you the a/c clutch and turn signals are out, does it cover anything else? Thanks All!

Looks like I was able to run it down as a result of the info you provided bremereric. Based on the back up lights being on the circuit, I found them unplugged at transmission and a wire laying grounded against the tranny case. The fuse that was instantly blowing out seems to be hanging in there now, as always, Thanks!

I imagine I would not have electrical issues had I been the original owner. However, someone "restored" this kitcar previously and I'm always finding little surprises, shortcuts or things that were done at resto that were not correct...like my engine bay being the dark, instead of light blue, wrong font on the decals, painted mirrors instead of chrome, tilt steering from some other mopar, 69/69 340 exhaust manifolds (not complaining about that one as much). Goods news, runs strong, just little annoying stuff... oh yeah...It has the "typical" rust, just like me...
