Looking for Mirada Guru's
Hello. I was wondering if anyone can tell me where I might locate some NOS parts for my Mirada. This is my second it is a 1983 CMX with the Faux Convertible top. My 1st was an 80 CMX that I owned as a kid. Specifically I am looking for the rear body mouldings that encompass the taillights. And any thing else is just bonus. I just picked this thing up from a guy in NY with 38600 original miles and it looks almost new. I has the 318. Thanks

mirada parts
mds2000- would definetly not consider myself an expert on miradas- i just like j body cars. i have an 80 cmx now, and had an 83 mirada, 318 car- almost the opposite to you. a couple of racers at my home track run cordobas (80-83), but i don't know anyone restoring one, or of any nos parts for sale. i would try mopar collectors guide if you can get an issue- they have monthly classifieds. there are other j body guys on this site. maybe someone else can help. do you have pics of your car? post 'em if you can.

I just sold an 80 Cordoba LS that I have had for ~14 years. About the only place I found w/ other F,M,J-body guys is www.mopowerstyle.com (formerly MoparStyle). They tend to lean towards the later stuff over there. If you have any more specific questions about J-bodies...I Might be able to help. I had wrecked my 81, and then I completely tore apart and rebuilt my 80 from the best parts of both cars.
