Thanks everybody. I had a 1984 Dodge d150 when I met my wife and sold it when I was young and stupid. I always regretted getting rid of it. Lots of memories. I found a 1989 dodge d150 that only had 60k miles. I bought it and it need a little bit of tender loving care to get it to my standards. How much does a whole truck paintjob cost anyways? You guys are great! thanks a lot

It all depends on what has to be done for body work, where you take it, how much you do yourself, who uch the company does, etc.
I would try to take care of as much body work as you can handle yourself. Labot will add up if a shop has to do it. Also call around, better yet drive around with the truck. If a shop sees the vehicle, they can give a you better idea about how much than just doing it over the phone.
I wouldn't go to Maco and pay $300 for a paintjob, but I also won't pay $6000. I'd say $1500 to $2500 for a good paintjob and clearcoat. Shop around though.
