Need help with 70AAR
So sorry to bother you all. I am new to the Mopar world (chevy guy sorry). I am trying to buy my dad a 70 cuda AAR. Guy lives about 4 hours from me selling it. Being that I am an idiot with mopars, I am curious of how to tell a real aar from a clone. The hood seems to be a bit off and the guy said no AAR's had perfect hoods, if they did they were clones. Also he has a standard 340 under the hood not the T/A one.
What are some tell tell signs I can look for to make sure it is a real deal. Thanks for reading, Tommy |

The fifth digit in the VIN will be a J if it's a real AAR. Just looked at the auction, and it looks legit to me, but for 60k he should toss in the block too. ask him for pics of the heads under the valve covers, the pushrod holes should be off-set if they are T/A heads they should also be 915 castings
