Adding some pep to a 360?
I am am about to rebuild the motor in my 98 jeep and need some suggestions on what to do to add some serious power? I want to stay away from nitrous but i want something that will hold its own at the strip. Everyone tells me that head work does wonders for the 360, any suggestions?

when i worked at a jeep dealership a few years back, a guy came in with a 98 GC limited. he bored and stroked it and let me tell you, that thing was nasty. you want serious power, look into that... and a good tranny to back it up.

there are manifolds, injectors, air intakes, and exhausts out there that you can choose from. it all depends on how much HP and torque your gunning for. however you build you motor, make sure that your tranny, t-case, axles and tires can handlt it. its not just one part of the drivetrain that you have to worry about. you have to make sure that its all going to work together. look into posi units front and rear. that will help you out.

if you do go with edelbrock heads. get them bare and buy some quality valves like manley race flo or severe duty. you'll be glad you did. wish i had to begin with. i have to now.
