Street legal dragster set up
What is necessary to make the car street legal. If i were racing it at the strip you would have slicks but you want to drive it on the street so id get the treaded drag tires. But for the guys that drag the cars and dont tow but drive them what else is there. And if i got the drag tires for the back do i have to change the axle with a shorter one or can i not mod the car to fit the tires?

If you get the proper offset for each wheel tire combination there is no need for axle modification. For street operation things like working lights, wipers, heater for defrost, parking brake and things that are required by local enforcement to pass a vehicle safety check. These may vary depending on your location.

To make it street legal, for one, you need a title and a vin....Now lets say you built a bad *** 6 second tube chassis 80's Daytona all you'd need is:
Vin, title, seat belts, license plate, head lights, tail lights, turn signals, brake lights, plate lights, street / DOT tires, brakes and insurance.
Pretty sure thats all I can think of really to make a car "Street legal" here. (Washington).
