Hurricane Sandy

So for those of us on the east coast, how did you fair? I'm thinking Mr340 is one of the few who go hit hard in NJ. Anyone else?

We just had a few branches come down, lights flickered but never went out.

I dunno, felt more like a tropical storm in southern NH. Never lost power, glad the worst of it is over though.

Thumbs up

From Florida to you all up north we hope all is well especial with our mopar brothers and there families and property GOD BLESS. we have lived and survived all the 2000 hurricanes with 120+mph winds that last for hours we are very familiar with them
"HUNKER DOWN" is the word here we use to ride them out then for the following days/weeks of clean up no power and destroyed homes and lost lives

Well, that sucked.... but I'm back and we are all doing fine. We did lose all communication for about 24 hours, no power no internet and cell service was spotty at best. No real damage to my property but I can't say the same for some of my neighbors, there are trees down everywhere and lots of damaged homes. In light of how the rest of NJ is looking, we got off pretty light here.

Exclamation

my friends cusins lost their home they lived on the peninsula they didn't evacuate and they almost drowned, crazy
their home is a total loss
at least they lived
no one thought it would be this bad but his family down here warned them to get out of course we in Florida are all too familiar with hurricanes and associated dangers

Absolutely wrong, the predictions were for it to be worse than it was and all those people were asked to leave on Saturday, by Sunday night the evacuation was MANDATORY. If they chose not to go thinking they could "ride it out" they almost got the chance to ride it out to sea! Like I said glad they made it, but to risk your life and the life of a responder to try to save a wooden box and some photos is just f'ing stupid!
