moparted 04-20-2014 10:34 PM

angelg56 04-21-2014 07:37 AM

Its a 74 swinger two door stock the rims are 18×8.5

moparted 04-21-2014 08:42 AM

with what back spacing

TVLynn 04-21-2014 09:27 AM

No offense to anyone but 18" wheels on a classic Mopar looks getto

evolben 04-21-2014 10:13 AM

You should stick with the factory wheels. It looks allot better and makes the value of the car high. I run into that allot in my job.my duster has janky after market rims it looks horrid. I'm buying some original rally rims. Trust me you will thank me.

angelg56 04-21-2014 05:50 PM

I would keep the original wheels but I'm switcHing to disc brakes and there 5×4.5 and factory wheels are 5×4 So Ihave no choice

evolben 04-21-2014 09:52 PM

You can find re man rims to fit with disk brakes. I find them all the time. You just gotta look.:thumbsup:

moparted 04-22-2014 11:13 AM

and rear is still 5x4"?

angelg56 04-22-2014 01:37 PM

Yea they are

moparted 04-22-2014 03:13 PM

so you have stock 14s on back and 18s on front since nobody makes 18s in 5x 4

angelg56 04-22-2014 10:30 PM

No I haven't got the rims yet i have the original all the way around Ihhaven't put the discs on yet would a 7.5 fitt

angelg56 04-23-2014 08:23 AM

Would a 17/7.5 wheel fitt

angelg56 04-26-2014 09:24 PM

Would a 7 inch wide wheel fitt on a stock 74 dart swinger¿??

mikerp76 04-26-2014 09:38 PM

yes they will. but you need to change out the rear axle to get a 5X4.5 bolt pastern. the only ones i found in teh 5X4 is a 15X7 rim.

angelg56 04-26-2014 11:01 PM

Ya how would I change the bolt pattern????

angelg56 04-26-2014 11:40 PM

Is there any really cheap way to Chang a bolt pattern?

TVLynn 04-27-2014 03:56 AM

I don't know if I would do it but there is an adapter available to re drill to the 4 1/2 size. It doesn't leave a lot of material, may not be legal at racing tracks...

angelg56 04-27-2014 10:14 AM

Ya I would do that what website is it on??

mikerp76 04-27-2014 11:51 AM

the best and safest way would be to find a donor car that has the parts needed for the conversion. find a car with disc brakes and get the upper control arms and spindles plus brake calipers. and the rear axle as well.

angelg56 04-27-2014 12:38 PM

I already have the whole conversion for the front.

mikerp76 04-27-2014 04:12 PM

the all you need is the rear axle from drum to drum. if the off set of the rims is close to factory the should fit with out too much trouble on the rear not sure about the front though.

angelg56 04-27-2014 04:59 PM

OKcool thanks and my new disc brakes are 5×4.5 already

angelg56 04-29-2014 08:44 AM

Does anyone know where i can get some really cheap classic muscle car rims????

mikerp76 04-29-2014 06:39 PM

what size and how much are you looking to spend?

angelg56 04-29-2014 10:19 PM

Between 15 and 18 inch and 6 inch wide and like 250$

angelg56 04-30-2014 09:49 AM
