hello
i guess this will be my introductory thread. heres the background on my story
my dad was a drag racer we had many cars. we have owned a total of 4 sport furys i think our originial was sold. 2 more were in our drive way and mexicans stole and wrecked those. now i still have the last 1.
it is a 63 sport fury, golden commando power edition, supercharged. my dad passed away along time ago (if your going to post please dont say sorry for your loss). anyways the last time it was driven it was over heated as i recalled and it was put in the shop all fluids drained and sat for about 8 years or so, now we moved into town and it has been in the garage for 2 years. ive decided something needs to be done with it. when we were going to move it we had it ready when we flipped it on it turned over but the gas lines we dry rottted or a mouse got to them so gas spewed out. i am young guy but i am not stupid. my dad taught me well and i am mechanically inclined. ive built and worked on dirt track cars, i fix and rebuild all of our fourwheelers.
now i am here to try to get it running. i plan to disconnect the fuel pump and try to pour gas into the carb and attempt to start it. hoping it starts though if not i have a complete set of parts to rebuild the motor. from the gaskets to a new super charger to new heads.
after i get it running and cleaned up i am planning to sell it as i have no need for the car. which brings me to a question, i have researched and may have a basic idea of what its worth but i want to know what you guys think.
again its a 63 sport fury, original black paint and interior. the golden commando power series, supercharged all from the factory
sorry for the long post lol

they are not worth much. except to the owner. and maybe a private buyer. having the optional supercharger may up the price by 2grand. its a golden cammando is it a 413? with crossram? i cant see it topping 40,000 in show room con, at a auction then you lose 10-20%

Welcome to the forum.
Like 66 said, the furys are just not worth that much unless its to another person that loves them. If you can get it to run and you don't want it, I would just sell it off with all the parts as a package deal.

i believe it has the 440 wedge head because all the parts are labeled 440 but its missing the crossram

my car is identical to this one expect the wheels and crossram: http://www.autotraderclassics.com/details?adId=90582673 is it possible to just have a single carbed wedge head?

nope i cant see any but now looking through old albums of it im 99% sure its got a 440 and all the spare parts are labeled 440. and in the old pics it shows the supercharger on it that isnt on it now (still got the brandnew redone supercharger on a self on the garage) along with the carb set up so if i can get it running its going back on it
