Hi Everyone! New Member w/ Fury..
Hello All,
So eager to exchange ideas with other Mopar people. I am new to any forum involving cars.
Primarily I love Plymouth C-Bodies. I love Plymouth Fury models.
I love big block Chrysler motors.
I know little about auto mechanics.
I am here to share and learn and have fun doing it.
My Dad always had Plymouth and Dodge cars when I was growing up.. that's where my attraction began. In the end it was the giant Plymouth Fury that grabbed me and never let go.. Like the big old primered Fury III that my cooler than cool uncle Stevie drove in the late 1970s(I was 10 in 1978). He would let me drive it sometimes when my parents weren't around.
I can honestly say that I have now found my dream Fury.Unexpectedly.
One month ago while doing nationwide searches on craigslist I came across a 1967 Plymouth VIP (Fury III) 383 Commando 4bbl for sale in a small Ohio town.
She had only 14,000 original miles on every part, and looked it. This car had not left the town from which it was purchased in 1967. It is immaculate! It is a one family owned car. Never driven on the highway, only to Church. Has been sitting covered in a garage for the past 30 years. I bought it directly from Family estate sale. It's as if it just came off the dealers lot, inside and out. I named her GG, After my favorite Mopar color code GG-1 Metallic Racing Green.
I look forward to sharing my story, lots of pictures, and progress as I bring this beauty back into her original mechanical glory. I have so many questions and concerns as to how to get it running the way it was designed to perform. Thank you all for welcoming GG and me to this forum. I look forward to sharing a lot more on the classic C-body section.
Thanks &
Warmest Regards,
GG!
Ps. I have the Chrysler/Plymouth/dodge Shop Manual for all 1967 cars.. So please feel free to ask me anything from that year and I'll be happy to look it up for you.
