Just joined.
Hello,
I'm jay and I am currently building a 71 satellite four door for a family cruiser, and we just sealed the deal on a 70 fury Gran Coupe. I have found this site very informative and helpful, so here I am. I was raised around mopars, as my dad raced a 67 coronet back in the 80s. I am in med school now so I work on them when I can.

Welcome Jay! I had an ex wife that was in med school when we were married, and I can tell you that you won't have much time to work on cars. Your 4 door cruiser sounds like fun for the family, any pics you can post???

Yup School keeps me busy, along with the kids. Here's a few pics of my cars. The 71 satty I bought in New Mexico for $500, no rust-at all, it sat for 16 years and the sun killed the paint and iterior. I finally pulled some interior from a 72 coronet. Nothing special, stock 240 hp 318, air. My dad pulled a 413 from a rotten 65 new yorker I'm debating swapping in. It's nice because all the kids fit. Who needs an SUV. The 70 Fury was a real sweet find, last registered in 1989. This guy got it from has father in law who bought it new and got to old to drive. He parked it in his warehouse and forgot about it. My dad was storing his Newport in there, and he told us it was for sale, 47,000 miles. The guy let it go insanely cheap, 383 2bl, it needs some help, hoses, belts etc. I like to keep cars on the road, but Being in the Army I have to keep my stuff at a minimum, moving all the time.

I may have said this before, but the Satellite is one of the few cars that looks really good as a 4 door. Your pics remind me that I was right! Great car man, enjoy it! And yes, please stay in school and keep your grades up......we are going to need a lot more Docs with the Godsend (sarcastic) of Obama care.

Thanks for the welcome guys, I apprerciate it. I am glad I got the satellite, the guy I got it from was going to junk it for $250. I am in the the process of restoring the gauge panel and fixing some shorted wires right now.
You guys have some nice rides. I'm just happy to see them being taken care of, and not on carsinbarns or being scrapped.
