New member from Washington State w/ '68 Charger
Hello folks, I am new to this forum but not new to forums. I am attempting to do a little research in regards to my 1968 Charger, here is a little history on it.
My grandmother purchased new in '68 and I recently took it over, its in bad shape because she wasn't to bright and stored it outdoors in Washington for the past 25+yrs. So you can imaging the rust involved, to my surprise tho the floor pans are in very good shape because it had the protective undercoating shot on it from the factory, but the trunk pan, gas tank, roof, interior are all pretty much shot. Not to mention the body work that would need to be done, quarter panel creased, fender dented.
What made me want to take it and see if I couldn't do right by it was that it is 100% original down to the original hub caps. The motor is only the 383 hypo. so I know that might be a downer to some but its matching numbers with the original 727 tranny thats in her.
Now for my fears, I am good at working on vehicles, I can do most if not all the mechanical on her but as for tackling the cosmetics well I highly doubt that I could do it correctly. I just hated seeing it sit in her backyard with only a tarp on it, so I had to trailer it outta there.
So I am putting myself out there to see if theres an interest in a vehicle like this and what I might expect to receive in offers if I was to attempt to sell her to someone that can and WILL restore her to a drivable condition at least.
I thank you all in advance for any and all input.

I figured pics would be requested in throws, but alas they were on my old hard drive that crashed a month or so ago. So pics wont be available till atleast over the weekend.
I can probably give others a good enough discription to help get a good enough idea of her condition. Faided paint to no paint in spots, rust, vinyl top originally thats long gone, more rust, was told it was considered the "Hard Top Convertable" model do to it doesnt have the door deviders so when you rolled down all the windows its wide open. Trunk rusted out, tank rusted out, roof rusted pretty bad, dunno which would be easier, cuting it off and replacing it with a roof thats in better shape or fabbing up new supports and welding them in.
I can and probably will get photo's taken over the weekend and attempt to post them on here, but just picture a really cool car in very bad shape but everythings original and there...LOL
Peace

HAHA....Now let me correct any missunderstandings, I am not sure that I would be willing to sell her, just wondering what I might expect in offers "If" I was to sell her.
