Newbie from NW Indiana

Just joined up 2 minutes ago. My first car was a 1976 Duster, one of my favorite cars was a 1974 Duster I drove back and forth 105 miles a day in the late 1980's, great little 225, 3 speed on the floor. Loved that car... Anyway 90% sure I will be bringing home a fairly nice 1975 Duster tomorrow, 225 automatic AC car. I'll post pictures if I get it.

After great and painful decision I have decided to pass on the car. Someone I know is working a deal to get it. The car itself was in great shape for being a midwest car however I didn't get that buy-me feel if you know what I mean. The main drawback to the car was the work needed to get it road worthy for my 16 year old to start out his driving. I felt somewhat reluctant with the 4 wheel drum brakes non-power as I used to have that on my 74, hit a good puddle of water and the brakes go away until you dry them out, not a biggie with a standard shift or an experienced driver but not a new driver. We live in the country and have plenty of puddles when it rains hard. Still will find my toy eventually but not this time. Thanks for the welcomes and the search continues. My toy will have 3 pedals, got to keep the wife from driving it...
