Wink Ocala is on the air

Hello to all Mopar forum fans.My name is Don. I'm brand new, recently moved to Ocala, Fl. from Miami. I have a semi body/ragged out '65 Plymouth Fury II 318 that decided to drink the water from the cooling system into the crank case. The symptoms were merely that she would stall at stops but otherwise ran OK. Seeking answers I pulled the distributor which I discovered was caked with mud ( emulsified oil ). After draining I had to return to Miami for 3 months which allowed for more of the, very slow drainage to continue. After several more mos. I am now beginning the repair which I think is the very corroded aluminum timing cover that the water pump mounts to.I got stuck at the crank pully mount bolt not knowing if it has right or left hand threads. If someone out there knows, please let me know.

Could be timing cover leaking water into the oil pan. If your taking about the harmonic balancer large bolt it is right handed. You will need a very long and large breaker bar to bust that bolt loose otherwise a really good 1/2" air impact. You will then need a harmonic balancer puller that you can borrow or buy at an auto parts store.

When you replace the WP housing Use a 50/50 mix of anti freeze and make sue the engine grounds are good and clean to prevent electrolysis.
