turn signals

i'm having problems with my left turnsignal. the lights come on but it dsnt flash... any ideas?

Your flasher is probably toast.

Well, if you can't hear the flasher working when you activate the turn signal, replace the flasher.

no, there is a flasher unit under the dash, usually in the vicinity of the fuse block. It is a round, sort of cylindrical looking thing, silver in color about 1 1/2 inch diameter maybe 1 or 2 inches long, It just unplugs from its holder/connector.

One problem that people dont realize is that the flasher work off of electrical resistance of the bulb itself. So, you must have the correct bulb in the socket and the bulb socket must be in good condition for the flasher to work correctly. One alternative is to use a electronic flasher unit instead of the original resistance type. [originally intended for LED lights that have little to no resistance]. These types do not rely on the resistance in the circuit. Any auto parts store or truck stop has them.
Anyway, just make sure you have the correct bulb in there first.

i've checked the bulbs they all work. so id have to get a flasher unit ?
