Crankshaft Mopar Performance 0.040" under
Dear MoparManiacs
My name is Diego Jones. I live in Brazil and have a 1977' Brazilian Dodge Charger. A-Body with a 318 stroker 360 engine. I use the engine crankshaft Mopar Performance, PN: DCC-5007257 318/340 main.
Purchased at Summit Racing: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...7&autoview=sku
I had a problem with connecting rods and a crankshaft of the damaged rods.
Send it to retifer. been measured with 0.040" under
I risk breaking the engine is turning 7000 RPM with the crankshaft since 0.040?

I wouldn't trust any crank that was turned over .030 (even that can be a bit much depending on the motor), but that is just me. How much power are you getting from the motor?
Did you get the crank from Summit Racing damaged?

A competent shop should be able to weld it back to stock size. I'm sure it wont be cheap. Is it cast or forged ? Cast? use it for a door stop...040 under bearings will be hard to find
