04 Ram 1500 5.7 fuel gauge problems

My fuel pump was replaced and now the gauge has quit working. The chime goes on as soon as I drive for about a mile each time I start it. Does anybody know if that chime is the fuel gauge not working or something else? I did the resetting seat belt and computer etc but nothing stops the bloody chime from sounding. As soon as I can find it I am ripping it out!!!!!!!!

Sounds like something broke when you installed the fuel pump module asm. Take the bed off the truck and test the system. This way it is a little easier to get to the wiring also. Chime will fix itself once you correct the problem.

not sure the 04 is the same as my wife's 2016 but when it had an issue with the fuel gauge we learned it was a single part for fuel pump and gauge. Dealer had to replace fuel pump to fix issue.
