360 swapp
Need some help and direction. I have a plymouth 72 sebring- 318 engine- auto trans.
I purchased a wrecked 02 ram truck with a 5.9 360 magnum. I want to swap out the whole drivetran( motor -trans). I want to use everything I can from the truck- A/C- electronic ignition, fuel ejection, computers etc. My plans is to use the wiring harness and anything else I need from the ram truck. I was hoping someone else done this(used a late model 360 in a 71,72,73 road runner or charger )can help me with "speed bumps" with this project-

No, this is the first time I have started to do some Q&A. I figured If I have to I will pull the whole wiring harness and use everything I can- Why can't I use all the new stuff from the truck- Heck I may even use the cluster out of the truck in the sebring. I am thinking replace the whole wiring system in my sebring with the trucks
thanks for repling

you will have to cut and splice in new wiring into the truck harness to lengthen some spots, you will need to convert the tranny from 4wd to 2wd (if everything is out of a 4wd truck), you'll need to have a fuel pump for the EFI, you'll have to modify the dash to accept the cluster, you might/probably will have to modify the cross member for the tranny, and there is a lot of other things that I am probably missing as well.
I've never done something like this before either, but I bet it will be sick once you get it done.

72 from my understanding you will need all the wiring out of the 02 to make your engine and trans work as everything is mostly computerized , it is a computerized world after around 94 or so but im sure with everything from the donor truck you should have everything you need
