Being Christmas time I am a little short on and just scraped my oil pan enough on a bumpy raod to cause a small crack/tear in the pan which leaks about every second when warm and about 1/4 qt a day when cold. My question is will jb weld be sufficient for a couple weeks or do I just bite the bullet and buy a new pan...and new front shocks since they are the reason for the low ground clearance.

The surface needs to be very clean for JB to work but it should get you by for the time being.

My thinking is if your going to be holding out for a few weeks to get a new pan I would just bite the bullet now.
But I have used JB weld to seal a nasty cracked wheel. If you do it right it is as good as actual weld.

Crank the torsion bars up a few turns, the ride height is probably too low. If you use the JB weld MAKE sure to check the oil often

In diesel school, one of my buddies had a long crack in the oil pan on a 4020 John Deere. He just cleaned it out in the parts washer, spread JB weld on the inside and outside, and it's still holding 4 years later

JB weld should get you by for a few weeks. Just make sure it is clean and dry. When you get the pan off, you may not need to buy a new pan, you may be able to have it welded or repaired. This would be a lot cheaper than a new pan.

you could always just tig or mig it if you have the resourses but you will be fine with the jb weld and make sure you let it cure for the time it states
