79 lil red express

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and to restoring vehicles. I'm looking at buying a 79 lil red express. I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me how I can check to see if the engine in it is the correct one.

The stamped codes on the passenger side of the block verifying that it is the right size and date for the vehicle and it matches what is supposed to have come in the vehicle based on the VIN.
