New user help advise, 440 duster
Hi I am looking at a duster with a 440 in it. My question is will this engine twist the frame of this car? I have done some research and I have read that the frame needs to be welded or reinforced so that the torque of the engine does not twist the frame. Will someone that knows take a look at this and tell me if this will hold up to the power of the 440? You might have to click view discription to see the underside pics. Thank.

I looked at the add and did not get the impression there was a big HP 440 under the hood. I would be more concerned about slicked over rust.

So it don't look like a big block? And how check on rust?

Looks very mild ? looks can be deceiving , it is definitely A BIG BLOCK.. a good set of frame connectors would be a good idea. Ties the front and rear frames together & stiffens the car..

With those tires no problem, they'll just spin. With traction lots of twisting.
Google search Dodge A Body Restoration and find some before pictures, they'll show the usual places to check. |

Just be careful |
Duster's never came with 440s , 340 or 360 or slant 6s . Someone could have put the 440 in it but if so you would think they would have also known to put frame connectors . The engine # is on the side of the block.
