Sway Bars?

Sway Bars?
Hi guys, I'm just looking into getting a front sway bar for my coronet, just wondering which companies are good, the only two that I've seen are hotchkis and hellwig. I have no power steering, how much would this help the handling (i don't have any sway bars on the car). Would i be able to simply bolt this on and go, or is there modifying involved? Any help would be appreciated. thanks

I believe PST [Performance Suspension Technology] sells a kit. If your car was available from the factory with a sway-bar, then installation should be a very satisfying bolt-on!

Heres the page for the kit for a 66 Dodge Coronet, 440, with a 318. They have a 1-1/8" bar for small blocks, and a 1-3/8" bar for big blocks. They also have rear sway bars that make the car a real pleasure to drive. The front kits seem to start around $170.

I have a C-Body and have a rear sway bar from FirmFeel on my list. I have looked through their site and have heard nothing but good about their product.
I had another C-Body in the '70s and '80s with a 383 that came from the factory with a front sway bar. I installed a rear sway bar on the car 'for looks' and it ended up being one of the best things that I did to the car! The difference in driveability was like day and night!
