tuner or exhaust? what should be done first?
Hey guys,
I have a Cold Air Intake. I plan to get a new exhaust system, but I was wondering if it would make any difference if I waited to get the InTune until after I upgraded my exhaust, or if tuning my car now would still see the same benefits installing the exhaust upgrades afterwards as it would if I did exhaust first, then tuned it. I have a couple 2000+ mile road trips coming up over the next month and a half, I was planning on running the mileage booster tune on my 2006 magnum R/T AWD. I've never played with a tuner before, nor have I fiddled with exhausts, but like many I've seen join the LX family, I kinda caught the bug, so i'm just makin sure I do everything right as I proceed forward.
Thanks for any input u can provide!

You can go either way as long as the tuner can be adjusted. If you are going to be doing some long drives pretty soon and want the mileage, I'd go with the tuner now and then put the exhaust on later.
If you are taking the vehicle to someone to have them tune it, install the exhaust first then.

do the exhaust then the tune. if u tune it before you wont see the results of the exhaust and u will need to retune it. plus with the exhaust ull also get more from that cold air aslong as your running a full exhaust hedders ect

I was hoping to find systems that were already built for our cars, pre-made means less dollars I gotta spend... but it's lookin more and more like i'm gonna have to do a custom build

On my 13 chal. RT I did cold air and exhaust. I'm still waiting for diablo to release a tuner for the 13's. I'd only recommend diablo, it can be adjusted for any tune any time easily. From HP To Mpg'g back to factory etc. I only deleted the resonators and putstraight pipes on. It sounds and runs great.
