Is this a hack, or will each area of the site be sponsored from now on? Tell me now so I wont waste my time. Maybe I dont know the economics of hosting a FORUM, tis a sad, sad day.

Better than charging us to be "premium members" and bs like that, just don't click on it an it isn't there. Just like someone with a huge zit or festering mole on their face, if you don't stare at it, it isn't there!

It could be lots worse! They could make you watch a comercial everytime you open a post If thats the worst it gets it will be ok, with me, as long as the site remains free! Its about like going to a concert or ball game, you have to put up with the corporate sponsor BS there also, they all want the arena and fields top have their name on it.

There is a local forum that I belong to that you need to "donate" to use certain features like the search. If the forum can get ads to pay for most of it then I'm ok with it. It's when there are so many ads on the forum, it looks like someone is just letting everyone advertise just to make a buck.
Who knows, maybe Pat bought some wheels and/or tires from them and said "give me a discount and I'll let you "sponsor" the wheel and tire section of our forum".
