440 block problem areas?

got a couple short blocks im going to be getting rid of. Is there any place in particular that should be checked for cracks etc on a 383 and 440 block? Anything specific to look for? thanks. jim

Only thing im finding it both of these blocks is cactus! the darn packrats made nests inside this carryall and the blocks were buried inside it. jim

just surface rust. I oiled a bank of cylinders down and ran a 3 legged hone through it real quick and its cleaning up pretty easy. Jim
