1972 charger shuts off
Hello,
I recently purchased a 1972 charger with a 360. The car was shutting off at reverse quickly or on drive when accelerated too hard.
I changed the fuel pump, plugs, wire, fuel filter, alternator, battery.
after changing the fuel pump it stays on when hitting gas, but now shuts off when it warms up. Then to turn on it doesn't hace spark.
I have checked the carburetor, and also for any vacuum leaks.
will be changing coil tommorow, but any idea what it might be?

Hard to say without seeing it.
Does the engine sound like it's running out of gas or is it immediate?
Can you tell how much fuel is in the carburetor fuel bowls/float levels, assuming a Holley type carb?
No spark means electrical, and unless you can see burnt wires/relays, it may just be a replace one thing at a time thing.
(Assume you have an electronic ignition/ECU?)

Why did we not change the Cap. Rotor, Points and Condenser, and the Ignition Coil, ????
I'm guessing with all that you have done that it has a weak Ignition coil or a condenser that is acting up... Some of this also sounds like the carburetor may need a good going threw.
