426 to 440 interchange

New to site and posted in wrong area...Hello. I have a 65 polara with a 426 street wedge. I have new pistons, cam. I suspect the remainder of parts are 440 interchangeable but unable to confirm. ,I am wondering if cam bearings, freeze plugs, oil pump, gaskets, rocker arms, push rods ect will be the same for 426SW and 440. Anyone know? Thanks for the answers so far!

if i remember right. in 65 the "B" "RB" engine had a strange mount bracket on the left side. i had to make custom bracket to put a 440 in to a 65 chrysler frame. i made a bracket to bolt into the boss next to the oil pump. and go up to the mount. man that was a LONG time ago. i think the 426 wedge has different mounting than a 426 hemi.

Absolutely NOT. This rumor seems to persist. The 426 hemi is "similar" to the wedge engines and is pretty much "based on" the design, but that's about it.

years ago i saw wher guy ground on the 440 block and welded a spacer / plug to duplicate the 426 hemi casting to bolt the stud coming off the hemi head. seemed to work. but that was in days whey didnt have the very good 440 heads we have now. but not sure any other differances.

Your six items listed should be good, I would check cam bearing journals and main crank thrust face register, just to be sure.
Here is some stuff.
