440 Mopar turboed
Does anyone know of any kits out there for à 440? I got a turbo from an old project but I'd say it is too small for this motor. Been looking at piecing up a kit. Haven't found a whole lot

Don't think there is an off the shelve kit.... Turbo might need to be between 85-115MM Depending on the size you go with on the motor.
I would check with Josh King or Montie Smith or DJ... There a little more in the loop.

That argument is all over the place....lol
I'll say.... For a 2 Bolt main block.. A safe boosted number is around 800-980..
Other than that you need the thicker case/webbed block to convert to 4 bolt mains and Billet caps.....
Dont forget the Predator heads....
Note: Thats just my 2 cents....

pro-tech I have a friend here in my state with a 57 Chebby-Hemi.
There is a guy on an other sight that has a 62 savoy {looking stock} with a small block running just over 10 seconds and tapping on the door of breaking into the 9's

Its more of a drag car than anything else. Drive it to the strip and dawg it out. Its being built like a true street car.
I would think that a supercharger would be easier to deal with

I like centeifical superchargers better since root style starts low and tends to die at upper range. Root style do have the cool factor. The reason I am looking at centrifical is they are similar to a turbo. I tend to think of them as a mechanical turbo. And always but a bov in the pipe to blow off the excess.

Plus I'm already having clearance issues with a 2 inch hood. Stock intake right now and can't even get a air cleaner on it. Want to go with a 6 inch hood and still weary it it will clear. I'm sure a 6 inch will but not a 4 inch

That's fine if you like Camaros.. But there are a lot of Mopars the are a lot nicer looking than the Boring Camaro that everyone and there brothers have.. At least when you drive a mopar people are intrigued by the car. But I'm not knocking your build at least you have a good engine.. Maybe someday you will have the car to go with the engine... Mopar or no car is what I live by... Sorry for being an ars but I am a die hard mopar guy and love smoking the rest of them at the track or on the street...Bill

I'm not a brand specific guy. I do love Mopar but people want too much for the body that is why I don't have a Mopar body for the motor and tranny. I'm a mustang fan but not a ford man. Mopar look great but not paying what they want for it. The only Mopar I got is an old Dakota. I got plans for her too. That's another topic.

A 440 in a Camaro is not something for anyone to get their nose out of joint for. Quite a feat that many people couldn't conceive never mind accomplish. It's one thing to criticize, another to actually swap. Congrats on a great combo! As a second classic I have a 64 Fairlane with a wicked engine in it. Never did remove the "260 V8" badge from the front fenders. Surprise, surprise!
