I think it's more like 12 ft lbs.
Snug all the bolts first, then tighten them with a lower torque setting(maybe half), then final torque them.
And start in the center staggering across and work your way outwards.

I put an aluminum Eddy on my 383, and I think the spec was 35 ft lbs., in stages. If it is an Eddy, you can find the manuals for their intakes in the tech section of their website.
