Project Fury 318 or 440
I have a 1966 Plymouth Fury 2 door hardtop with a Poly 318 in it at the moment. I plan on slowly restoring the car overtime. Right now I'm looking at the motor. As of now it runs with the 318 but I have a stock bore 440 short block laying around I have been tossing around the idea of using it. So far this is what I know about the 440 its got Keith Black quench dome pistons, steel crank, Lunati voodoo cam lsa 112 lift 454/454 duration 253/258. It was put together over 10 years ago and just been sitting in the garage. I will be pulling it apart so should I go with different pistons and cam or just use the one's I have? I want it to be a pretty strong motor the car will be a weekend warrior and eventually taken to shows.

My 2 Cents.... As long as the compression is not over 10.0.1... You should be good to go with that combo...... Your also going to need a trans to fit the big block and a updated driveshaft to fit...All the B-Body linkage should fit if you dont already have that stuff... 1966 was a nice car.... Another member just pick one up also.... Wow....
Just make sure you open up that little 5/16 fuel line to 3/8 just to fit the bill...
Keep up posted....
