Valve Swap 360 to 318
What would it all day to put a set of valve from a 360 head into a 318 head? Or will they just slide right in? Or what do you gotta do?

Because the chamber is bigger on a 360 head and you lose compression. Been reading alot on this on a bunch of different sites and forums of how the compression drops so low..

depending on the year the compression drops more or less
i run 360 heads on my 318... stock valve sizes but ported to the max
i basically traded velocity for volumetric efficiency it works.
i notice a gain in upper end performance where the 318 heads fell off.
say around 4000-6500-7000.
then later i had the heads milled, made it better.
i would swap the heads in a heart beat, mill em like Skwerly recommends.

Not knocking the 302s i read 318 builds with this head ported and valves maxed out producing 400 hp that's serious power, i have a set of 302's i might port polish and max the valves... i'm curious.
