440 nv4500
I'm currently swapping an nv4500 into my 1976 Ramcharger. I have almost everything figured out except the Fork and throw out bearing setup. I'm using lakewood bellhousing part #15335. I'm going to try calling them 2maro to see if they have any suggestions or tips but. I tried to get a hold of em before and they took forever to answer. Just curious if anyone has done this swap already. Thanks.

Looks like fun, how do you keep U joints in it? I had a 77 short box with a 5" lift that would kill front U joints.

Thanks, she's alotta fun. So these trucks come with a short driveshaft from the factory up front. When you lift them the pinion angles become too steep. Even with a double cardon joint at the tcase. This truck has a np203/205 doubler in it so it adds a little length to it. Also the front end has been stretched forward quite a few inches as well. This helps lessen the angle. I don't really know how much lift I've got cause the springs are actually 52" rears off of a blazer.

I only use Spicer joints, I was lucky to get 2k out of the diff joint.
If I had a long drive I'd pull the front shaft and lock in 4wd.
It had 33s on it with 3.55s, it was the best truck for pulling my Plymouth, it pulled better than my new at the time 95 Ram 1500 4w1500 with the same gears and 31s on it.

Yeah, they're lots of fun once you find the right setup.
I've just used the parts that come with my new driveshafts. I believe they're napeco. Spicer does make really good parts tho. Also I spoke with someone from Holley and they told me I can use the clutch fork from a dodge setup. So I will use that
